Over the years we have been showing Limousins we have had an enjoyable time, met many new friends and finally have had quite a number of successes:

1992 - Our homebred heifer "Lodge Ella" out of Ravelaw Abigail sired by "Uplands Batman" was placed Reserve Female Champion at The Royal Show and Champion at the Great Yorkshire Show.

1997 - Ronick Luke was Champion at the North West Progeny Show, Carlisle; Reserve Male Champion at the Royal Highland Show; and second in his class at the Royal Show. At the bull sales in Carlisle in May we sold 8 bulls to average £4700 they included:

Lodge Libretto out of Lodge Harmony by Ronick Idol who sold for 6700gns.
Lodge Monopoly out of Lodge Irgie by Ronick Gains who sold for 6000gns.
Lodge Master out of Lodge Ester by Broadmeadows Cannon who sold for 5400gns.
Lodge Lacrosse out of Lodge Hockey by Cloughhead Charlie who sold for 4800gns.
Lodge Legend out of Lodge Gossip by Ronick Idol who sold for 4800gns.

1998 - Lodge Norinha (half sister to Lodge Ella) sired by Ronick Luke won Junior Female Champion at the Royal Highland Show aged only 13 months.

1999 - At the Carlisle bull sales in May we sold our first batch of Ronick Luke sons, top price being for Lodge Natterbox out of Lodge Gossip who sold for 6600gns to Messrs Jerman of the Glangwden Herd. Other prices were 5500gns for Lodge Nifty out of Lodge Ifum and 4500gns for Lodge Nike out of Lodge Hockey.

2000 - We had a great Royal show this year with the following animals doing well:

Lodge Piccolo out of Lodge Harmony and sired by Ronick Luke won her class and went on to win Junior Female Champion and Reserve Overall Junior Champion.
Lodge Promise out of Ronick Fumby and sired by Ronick Luke was second in her class to Lodge Piccolo.
Lodge Oriana out of Lodge Gossip and sired by Ronick Luke was third in the intermediate heifer class, she is a full sister to Lodge Natterbox mentioned above.
Lodge Piccolo and Lodge Promise were reserve in the best pair bred by exhibitor competition.
Ronick Luke progeny won the best group of animals by the same sire.

2003 - Lodge Radiant our of Ronick Flair by Ronick Gains was 1st in the senior heifer class at both the Royal Highland Show and Royal Show. Lodge Tania out of Lodge Oriana by Ronick Idol was third at both the Royal Highland Show and Royal Show.

2004 - At the Royal Highland Show Lodge Radiant was 1st in the young cow class with her heifer calf Lodge Unique by Cloughhead Charlie at foot. Lodge Utah by Broadmeadows Cannon out of Lodge Rosa was 2nd in the junior heifer class. Lodge Usabelle by Ronick Luke out of Ronick Osabelle was 2nd in the intermediate heifer class. Lodge Tania out of Lodge Oriana by Ronick Idol was fourth in a strong two year old heifer class. Lodge USA was 2nd in the MLC beefbreeder class. Our stall also won the tidiest cattle line competion.

2005 - At the Royal Highland Show Lodge Vilamoura (a son of Lodge Norinha by Ronick Gains) was 3rd in a strong class of young bulls and was Champion in the Marks and Spencer Beef Recorded Class. He has since been sold privately to the Ronick Herd.

2006 - At the Royal Highland Show Lodge Actor was Reserve Junior Male Champion. He was out of Lodge Opium sired by the imported bull Romeo. He was sold at Carlisle in October 2006 for 8500gns.
