Bolfornought Farm is situated on the fertile carse land of Stirling on the banks of the River Forth in Scotland. The farm is opposite the Holiday Inn Express on the east side of town only two miles from the town centre with many tourist attractions to visit nearby, namely Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument to name just two.
The name "Bolfornought" is
derived from an old ancient Scottish Quotation:
The farm consists of approx 300 acres of arable ground. The main crop this year is spring barley destined hopefully for the malting market. We also grow a large acreage of Scots Timothy Hay, with the first cut being sold as hay for horses and other livestock, and the second cut being made into silage for our own use to be fed to our Pedigree Limousins over the winter.
