Ronick Fumby unfortunately died of old age in January 2008 (aged  18 years old), over her lifetime she had 14  calves. She was a great breeder and has proved to be an excellent foundation cow for the Lodge Herd.

Her first calf was Ronick Humby by Ronick Gains who sold for 5,500gns at Carlisle in May 1994.

At least a third of the Lodge Herd currently is made up from descendants of Ronick Fumby. With many of her daughters breeding exceptionally well in the herd like Lodge Ifum by Ronick Gains.

Two other daughters out of Ronick Fumby retained in the herd are Lodge Smartie and Lodge Abby.  Lodge Smartie is the mother of Lodge Dapper by Attila that sold for 4,500gns at Carlisle in October 2009 and Lodge Abby has a good bull calf called Lodge Dumby by Bailea Spunkie that will be destined for Carlisle in May 2010.

Another daughter Lodge Promise by Ronick Luke was second to Lodge Piccolo at the RASE 2000 and was a member of the team to won best group by one sire, she was subsequently sold privately to Mrs S Edmondson.  

Ronick Fumby is a daughter of Ronick Umby who Wendy received as a Christmas present from her parents in 1983.   Umby was shown successfully coming 2nd in a strong class of heifers at the Highland Show in 1985.  She then went on to breed Ronick Dumby who was 2nd in his class at the RHS and the RASE in 1989 and was then sold to the Homebyres herd belonging to Mr John Logan for 5400gns in October 1989.

Ronick Fumby is almost identically bred to Ronick Dumby as their sires Ronick Aaron and Ronick Barny (sire of  Ronick Dumby) were full brothers.

Another daughter of Ronick Umby was also brought into the Lodge herd, namely Ronick Emby.  She was the mother of Lodge Imby by Broadmeadows Cannon who was sold for 5,200gns at Carlisle in May 1994, and also Lodge Jemby again by Broadmeadows Cannon who was placed first in a class of 16 at  the RASE in 1997 and was reserve female bred by exhibitor.
