When selecting herd sires it has always been our policy to use top quality bulls, hence the depth of breeding in our cows today, like Osiris, Sebastien, Talent, Rake Terence and Broadmeadows Cannon.
The pedigrees of our current herd includes a number of stockbulls that we have previously owned or borrowed(!) like Goldies Unionjack, Uplands Batman, Cloughhead Charlie, Ronick Idol, Ronick Luke, Ronick Shapely and Ronick Urinocco.
AI sires:
In addition to the above sires we keep expanding the Lodge herd bloodlines by using AI on a number of cows every year. Past and present AI sires we have used are Ronick Gains, Greenwell Major, Haltcliiffe Olympus, Bailea Olympia, Ocean, Romeo, Rocky, Saphir, Bailea Spunkie, Hatlcliffe Vermount and Sarkley Voltigeur.

Our current herd sire is Attila purchased privately from Cathy Patureau in 2006. He is breeding top quality calves for both the commercial and pedigree market. We have recently collected semen from Attila which will be available to buy at the start of 2010.
We also have a junior herd sire called Balaise, who was purchased privately from Earl Lagautriere in 2007. He is by Usty and introduces the Neuf bloodline, that breeds top quality females, into the Lodge herd.
